Academy members are elected to the organization by the Academy Board of Directors. Nominations are open once a year, typically April through early June. Nominations can only be submitted by current Academy members and are limited to two nominations per Academy member. 

If you are interested in becoming an Academy member, you are encouraged to reach out to a current member and inquire if they would nominate you for membership. If are not familiar with a current Academy member, please reach out to info@aapra.org and efforts will be made to connect you.

Educator: Must have attained the rank of full Professor OR served in a high-level administrative position in higher education and recognized as an educator for a combined period of not less than fifteen (15) years as of October 1 of the year nominated.

Only Academy members may nominate an individual for membership. Academy members may nominate no more than two (2) individuals for membership in any one year. Members of the Membership Committee and the Academy Board of Directors may NOT nominate a candidate nor may they write a support letter. 

Nominees are encouraged to review the criteria for membership prior to completing the Nomination Form.
